Sales Terms and Conditions
Orders and pre-orders
- All orders are subject to acceptance by ETIEN and availability of watches.
- Orders are considered accepted once watches are shipped and cancellations will not be possible after this. However, the owner has the right to return the watch within 14 days. For more details, please refer to the ‘Returns’ section below.
- ETIEN reserves the right to reject an order for reasons including, but not limited to, non-clearance of payment, shipping/import restrictions of the destination country and ordered watches being out of stock.
- Pre-order deposits may be cancelled for a 50% refund at any time up till shipment. In the unlikely event we are unable to deliver a product at all, a full refund will be made.
- Every effort will be made to deliver watches according to the projected delivery schedule indicated, but delays sometimes occur due to circumstances beyond our control. This does not constitute complete failure to deliver and a cancellation due to a delay is considered customer initiated and eligible for a 50% refund only. In the event the delay is longer than six months, a full refund will be given.
- We reserve the right to update, amend and improve products on an ongoing basis.
- In cases where orders are rejected, any payment made will be promptly refunded in full.
Shipping, customs and import
- All products will be shipped with tracking and insurance.
- A signature on the receipt is required upon delivery of your watch.
- The buyer or his/her appointed representative’s signature on acceptance of the shipment is deemed as evidence of the date of delivery and fulfilment by ETIEN.
- Taxes, customs levies and import duties are not included in the product price. Any customs levies, import duties and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the buyer and must be paid by the buyer to the buyer’s local custom office upon the arrival of the buyer’s watch.
Returns
1 We have a 14-day return policy. This means the buyer has 14 days upon receiving his/her item to request a return.
2. To be eligible for a return, the watch must be in the same condition that the buyer received it -- unworn or unused and in its original packaging, with the watch still sealed and vacuum packed. The buyer also needs the receipt or proof of purchase. Return shipping will be borne by us if the watch is found to be defective.
- Beyond the 14 days, the order is considered as completed.
- To request a return, the buyer may contact us at hello@etien.watch If the buyer’s return is accepted, we’ll send the buyer a return shipping authorization number, as well as instructions on how and where to send the buyer’s package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
- Buyer may choose to arrange for return shipping on his/her own. In this case, the buyer is assuming the responsibility of the watch while in transit.
- If we find the watch returned is in a used condition or incomplete, we will not be able to accept the return and will contact the buyer to have it ship back to the buyer.
- We will refund the buyer 2 weeks after we accept the return. The amount will exclude the shipping cost, and we will use the same means of payments used for purchase.

Warranty, service and repairs
- Each watch comes with a 24 months limited warranty against mechanical defects.
- All parts and labor costs are covered by the warranty. The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects existing at the time of delivery of the watch. Upon receipt, the customer should check the delivered merchandise and inform us immediately if there is any obvious defects in materials and workmanship.
- Watches are not user serviceable. We cannot guarantee water resistance or proper mechanical function of the watch if the watch case has been opened or serviced by the customer or a third party. If the watch case has been opened or serviced by the customer or a third party, all warranties will be voided.
- The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear and aging (e.g. scratched crystal; changes of the color and/or material of non-metallic straps and chains, such as leather, textile, rubber; peeling of the plating); any damage on any part of the watch resulting from abnormal/abusive use, lack of care, negligence, accidents (knocks, dents, crushing, broken crystal, etc.), incorrect usage of the watch
- For a warranty claim, we reserve the right to replace the watch or relevant components with equivalent ones, or those of greater value in the event that the parts are no longer available.
- In the case of a warranty claim, or a service request, please email us at hello@etien.watchfor a Service Authorization (SA) form, which includes shipping details.
- For warranty work, shipping cost to ETIEN is borne by the owner and the safety of the package while in transit back to ETIEN is the responsibility of the owner. However, at the owner's request, ETIEN can arrange for shipping and insurance and the charges will be invoiced separately.
- For out-of-warranty service, both ways of shipping are at the owner’s cost.
- Without limiting the scope of these Terms of Use, any claim for damages whatsoever for goods or services delivered, non-delivery of products or services or otherwise shall not exceed the purchase price of the goods or services that gave rise to a claim for damages.
- While we will try our best to make repairs and return a watch to proper working condition, it is sometimes not economically viable or possible to repair a watch if the damage is extensive enough.
ETIEN reserves the right to update these policies as deemed necessary and at our discretion. The latest version will supersede all preceding versions (except for duration of warranty which is fixed at time of purchase).
